Weighted 9" Baseballs
Split leather cover, white stitching, weighted cork core. As you train, gradually increase the weight of the ball as you build strength in your throwing arm. Color coded cover indicates the ball weight. (The size of a regulation softball is 12" and between 6.25 -7 oz.)
Weighted Balls are an excellent muscular strength enhancer. Pitchers, catchers, infielders and outfielders that use weighted balls have shown a significant improvement in velocity, throwing accuracy and ball movement, after a 4-week period. Weighted Baseballs range from 4-12 oz. (Official baseball weight is 5 oz.) Weighted Softballs range from 5-12 oz. (Official softball weight is 6.8 oz.)
Injury may occur if caught by hand or ball glove due to the added weight of the balls. Weighted balls should not be thrown to another individual or hit with a bat. They should be thrown into a net when training for throwing accuracy or held in the hand when used as a strength enhancer. Choose weight of ball carefully. If ball is too heavy, choose a lower weight. Increase to higher weight balls only after strength condition is achieved. These instructions provide general weight guidelines: practice safety when training.
When starting, use the lighter of the balls, then increase one weight per six sessions with the ball.

Training with weighted balls is a muscle-loading technique that is much the same as lifting weights. Injuries may occur. Use of any sports equipment and participation in any sport subjects the user to a degree of risk. Weighted balls should be used with caution and with proper supervision and instruction. The seller hereby expressly disclaims all warranties, either express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
All of our orders ship from Knoxfield, VIC & local pick-up is available in-cart. All small orders (under 22kg) are generally sent via Australia Post unless another courier is requested. Orders bigger than 22kg generally go via one of Toll, TNT or Northline (for large pallets). Provided there are no issues with the order, all individual orders received before 2pm Monday-Friday will be despatched same day. Certain items may be next day depending on time of order (eg: pitching machines that require bookings via courier) and depending on size, some club orders may be next day despatch as well.
Ausport offers free shipping within Australia on orders over $150, with some exceptions for bulky items such as tees and nets.
Ausport SuperStore can also send your order via express post upon request. Depending on the size of the order it may be able to be sent in one of 3 overnight satchel sizes (500g, 3kg and 5kg). Items bigger than a shoe box will need to be sent via Australia Post's Express Parcel service.

Returns
If you have purchased an item and you are not happy with the item (wrong size, wrong colour etc) you may exchange the item or obtain a store credit within 30 days of purchase. For items that are faulty or broken, please contact us at sales@ausport.com.au so we can resolve this issue ASAP. This includes Bats that have broken under warranty.
